Happy Hour: How to Use Louis Sel in Cocktails

With some nice weather upon us, here are some fun and salty ideas to feature Louis Sel in your next Happy Hour.  First up, we have a refreshing bloody mary rimmed with a our Sel Marin with Peppercorns and Baies Roses. This drink is perfect for pepper lovers (and who doesn’t love pink peppercorns!) and those who want some extra spice in their drink! Grab your favorite pre-made bloody mary mix, or make it yourself. We recommend adding lemon and a dash of the sel marin to the tomato juice to kick it up a notch.

Next up is a drink that is ideal for brunch or to cap off a nice dinner or enjoy as dessert: a salted caramel espresso martini! This martini is perfectly topped with a Fleur de Sel rim, providing the perfect salty counter to this deliciously sweet drink. Just mix up some Baileys with vanilla or caramel flavored vodka, in addition to espresso (or a strong coffee) and drizzle caramel around your glass!

Last, we have a classic golden margarita! And what’s a margarita without salt...especially if it’s Fleur de Sel! This special salt intensifies the sweet and sour flavors making it even more delicious. Pro tip: add a splash of orange juice to your pre-made margarita mixer to kick up the taste even further!
